Language seems to be important here - the nice list is topped by three English-speaking countries, followed by one where almost everyone can speak English, followed by two where most people can, followed by another English-speaking country.

On the bad list, Nigeria has English as an official language, although many people can't speak it. I think Pakistan is the same.

I know a dedicated carnivore whose wife is a militant vegetarian. Their most spectacular public arguments often stem from him licking his lips and saying yum when they see a cow.

We got to know each other at the house of a mutual acquaintance. I was telling the story of a particularly gruesome animal sacrifice. Half way through, she started booing her eyes out and went running out of the room. He just laughed.

Kobe is a class of its own. Only had actually Kobe once and it was incredible in what I had it.

That being said it is an amazing but somewhat subtle flavour. And for the price most days. I will take a free range Wagyu/Angus cross or even just Angus that has been raised in cold weather to give the meat a little more punch. Then dry aged for a good while until almost mouldy.

That being said, I will miss English pork a lot.

Yes, they're very good. But I'd rather judge Argentina by, for instance, Gabriela Sabatini.
